It was very exciting to be invited to be artists in residence at Atelier Morange in Ardes Sur Couze in France. We had a very inspiring time there. We had great fun with Eric and Karin who ran the residency and were very grateful they chose us to spend a month there.
We exhibited our new collection of collages and prints which were taken from work done in Nevis that was used to create a new version of the Travelling Collage in the gallery.
We foraged for wild food with Karin (who used to run a restaurant with Eric) and made delicious pesto with it. We travelled around the area visiting Romanesque churches and villages with the expert help of Eric, a historian. We had daily art chats accomapanied by drinks and lovely food made by Karin and we walked the magnificent Auvergne countryside trails.
It was a fascinating and very memorable stay in a wonderful part of France.

We also took the finished collage around the town to photograph and film in various locations. Here is a link to Karin’s film https://youtu.be/qk6xk3xzwRA
