We were asked to make a sculpture by family members for a site at their home.

The sculpture was to be visually striking and have a height and presence that could be seen from a number of locations in the garden.

The title from the poem ‘When Great Trees Fall’ by Maya Angelou was chosen by the commissioners for its personal significance.
