We recently came back from a 6 week artists exchange to Berlin. We had a great time and managed to get some work done, too. Evi and Andreas and their two girls stayed at our house and we stayed at their apartment in the middle of Kreuzberg. We were struck by all the graffiti and posters on the streets. A lot of work on paper was put up on the streets by anonymous artists and we liked the use of the street as an ephemeral and temporary exhibiting place.

We went to workshops at the new EtsyLab premises in the next street to us, visited fashion and textiles co-ops and small businesses during Berlin Fashion Week to arrange placements for students and explored the many exhibitions, installations and events put on by artists in our area. We also visited the wonderful BBK print workshops in Bethanien and arranged to return and work on a project there next year.
