This proposal was for the old Normansfield hospital in London. It was built as a safe haven for people with Down’s syndrome (John Langdon Down was instrumental in its building). The hospital was being converted into accommodation. The site for the artwork was the old orchard in the hospital, which was in large part self-sufficient and boasted a beautiful theatre. Plan Projects acted as consultant to the developer.
